Morning Prayers
During morning prayers, my sweet girl grabbed her own "prayer book" to join me. She kept silently asking me if she was on the right page, pointing to each icon looking for confirmation as I read my prayers beside her.
I don't know if there's a deep reflection to be said about this moment, but I felt it very deeply. It was like a sweet consolation from the Lord to keep going. Praying is always hard...it can often feel like another thing to do on my long list of things to do. I don't often choose the right path before me. But when my sweet girl walked up to join me, I felt it in my whole being, that this was the right choice, and letting out a big exhale, we began our day the right way, with God at the forefront of our minds +
(For those curious, I am using the New Pocket Prayer Book by the Antiochian Archdiocese, and my daughter is using a sweet DIY icon photo album that a friend made for us using printed icons she saved and a photo album like this one.)
